Introduction and Welcome

Jubilee Baptist Church, is the joining together of Grove Evangelical Church and Occold Baptist Church. We try and provide a warm welcome to visitors at our services. So whether you are on holiday, new to the area, going to church for the first time or coming back to church, we would love you to join with us on Sundays at 10.45am in the village hall. When you come along, we hope that you will feel at home with us and find the meetings clear and helpful.

Who we are

We are a group of people from varied backgrounds, with different stories to tell of how we have personally experienced the love and forgiveness of God, through Jesus Christ. We try to live to please God and to share the wonderful news of how each person can be right with God, know His help day by day and be certain of a future in heaven.

We have been an independent church for over 20 years, and we are affiliated to the Association of Grace Baptist Churches (East Anglia) and Affinity.

Our Meetings

On Sunday's we usually meet in the village hall at 10.45am  but currently we are meeting at this time, on alternate Sundays in the chapel. On other Sundays our service is relayed virtually via a What's App Group. Please contact our church secretary, if you would like to join us physically or virtually.

We realize that visiting a church for the first time can be quite daunting. To help we have produced a guide of what to expect.

We currently hold a weekly prayer meeting on Thursday evenings via Zoom, commencing at 7.45pm.

On alternate Friday's between 7.30pm and 10.00pm, we usually hold Youth Club in the village hall, for those aged 9 and over however, this is currently suspended, awaiting further guidelines from the government.

Each month, we produce a news and prayer sheet, giving details of our meetings, prayer topics for our world, community and those connected with the fellowship, as well as other information relating to the church. If you would like to be added to the distribution list please send an e-mail to the address below.

Our Beliefs and Practice

We base our life and faith on the teaching of the Bible, which is our ultimate guide in all matters of faith and practice. See a summary of our beliefs

Practically we encourage those who are members to be active in the life and work of the church. To show God's love and our faith at home, in the community and throughout the world. This summarizes how we think this should look in the life of this church.

Thank you for visiting our page
